Maxime is a self-taught film director with a strong background in communication and clients’ objectives. He started his career as an account manger in various advertising agencies. He managed global communication campaigns for brands like Nespresso, Jeager Le Coultre, Montblanc, Nissan and EasyJet. He also did quite a lot of strategic planning and copywriting during this period.
He thus worked in a video production company. This is where everything started. He learned film direction and became partner in this studio. Then, he learned CGI by himself to keep a competitive advantage on his challengers.
He stayed in this company for 6 years. 5 years ago, he let the company to his partners to start a freelance career cause he needed to explore wider horizons.
Nowadays, Maxime builds his films as visual poems. Far from basic storytelling, he wants his audience to feel an emotion rather than understand each detail of a story. He strengthened his visual style by creating this picture in picture language which helps to build stronger meanings.
On top of that, his VFX and post production knowledge makes him a solution focused director on a set.
